Lonely, strangled, imbedded in you
cajoling, laughing, covered in love
color, sinter, bloody at times
ginger, splendor
and all the while
longing for the slumber of winter and mourning to end,
the waiting and wandering 'round you.

Muse
I look across the pillows to see you smiling
If not for this earthly state there would also be
shimmering light and tinkling
of small glass crystals ringing all around your face
It's like a dance in white wind when I am about you
from inside out you warm me
I see in pooling brown eyes the depth of your happiness
and the recovering of your soul
your chest rising and falling at ease
as you slide back into sleep.
Always and forever you are smiling at me
because I stand with you
steady on as we go near and far.
